Southern California Spanish Revival

The Inspiration

It was important for this project to capture the spirit of Southern California living. I wanted the Spanish Revival charm to effortlessly meet the laid-back elegance of coastal living. The interiors of this home are inspired by the natural palette that surrounded this home: sun-bleached stucco, the warm terra cotta roof, the soft greens of the LA hillside this home overlooks, and the layered blues of the sky and ocean nearby.

With an eye for heritage and heart, I blended coastal textures with historic architectural details — arched doorways, hand-painted tiles, reclaimed woods, and vintage finds — to create a space that is durable for a young family with two dogs, but reminds you to embrace the laid back California lifestyle.
